State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) manages and performs fire-fighting and rescue operations while performing fire-fighting, after road traffic accidents, in inland waters, in conformity with the technical provisions and possibilities - underwater search and other rescue operations.

After being notified of an event via the single emergency phone number "112", a SFRS subunit of the nearest fire station is being dispatched.

Usually, a SFRS subunit responds to an incident with a fire engine, which ensures the transportation of equipment and fire-fighting substances to the event. 

If necessary, fire trucks designed for lifting firefighters to heights, providing communication and lighting, operating in building collapses, providing diver operations, action in contaminated environments, and other purposes, are dispatched to the incident.
