The single emergency call number 1 1 2 is a single number to call in case of emergency for assistance from firefighters rescuers, paramedics, police officers or gas emergency workers.
The single emergency call number 1 1 2 need NOT be used in cases where there is no danger to life, health, safety or property.
You DO NOT need to call the single emergency call number 1 1 2 to:
- talk, joke, for example, by calling a dispatcher without explaining, drop the phone straight away and try to cause conflict, for example when you are drunk;
- get social assistance:
- bringing people to the flat;
- the appointment of a fallen person to bed;
- ask for the animal to be rescued in his natural environment, such as a cat who climbed a tree; a beaver who drifted into a city canal etc.;
- to solve common problems, such as informing about water supply, sewerage and electricity supply damage in the dwelling;
- ask to be connected to an institution such as radio, television and the like;
- obtain the telephone number of a person or institution, such as the telephone number of an animal shelter, hospital admissions and wards, the telephone number of an electrical fault claim and the like;
- just listen and keep quiet, not answer the dispatcher's questions;
- learn the PIN code for your SIM card or why your phone is not working and how to unlock it;
- verify that the single emergency call number 1 1 2 is in operation;
- consult, for example, on the location and extent of smoke detectors;
- receive information regarding a relative present in a healthcare institution;
- request the destruction of insects, rodents and other pests;
- request the removal of the bird's nest from trees, buildings or poles;
- receive information on traffic congestion, road condition, driving conditions;
- find out the timetables for public transport;
- ask for help finding lost keys;
- express an opinion on politics and other topics;
- find out the weather forecast;
- find out what's new.
