This week from 31st of May till 1st of June in Oslo (Norway) is held the 20th meeting of Directors General for Civil Protection of the Council of the Baltic Sea States. In this meeting from State Fire and Rescue Service of Latvia (SFRS) participates deputy chief of SFRS colonel Mārtiņš Baltmanis and chief of Civil Protection Board Ivars Nakurts.
In the meeting agenda are disaster prevention and regional cooperation issues, landslide risks in Norway, as well as Poland's experience in solving challenges due to the Russian war in Ukraine.
During the meeting will be signed the Oslo declaration on regional cooperation in the civil protection network.
