A professional rescuer should be able to assess the situation, determine the potential risk in each particular situation and understand and minimise or avoid hazards during rescue operations. For this reason, the potentially hazardous areas in the aquatic aquifer during summer and on ice during winter should be known.
Rescue operations in inland waters shall be carried out using a boat (rowing boat or motorboat), using a survival board or floating. In addition, a diving mask, breathing tube, flippers, inflatable or permanent life jacket, lifelines, floating polypropylene rope, hydrosuit (with heat sink), studded galoshes or metal linings, ice chopsticks, portable ladders shall be used.
